Dashboard wiring exposed

Removal of the dashboard panel made the installation much easier. Not for the faint of heart!
(Click Here for more pictures of the behind the dashboard installation.)

Daryl at work

After researching the factory wiring, Daryl was ready to interface the vehicle's VSS (vehicle speed sensor) wire for the navigation system.

Alpine navigation unit

The navigation unit installed under the rear package shelf. Out of sight but still accessible.

Navigation unit in the trunk

Another view of the navigation main unit mounted in the Volvo's trunk.

The GPS sensor located in the rear stop light

The GPS antenna fit nicely inside the center brake light, further adding to the custom, stealth installation.

Navigation screen-front view

Closeup of the navigation monitor in the factory center speaker location.
(Click Here for more pictures of the navigation screen installation.)

Navigation screen-Side view

Side view without a grill (not shown). The grille was installed after the dashboard was reinstalled and is spring loaded to open and close with the monitor. Very stealth.
